Reading the comments by Sen Diane Feinstein in the article below, I was struck by the fact that the 2nd Amendment DOESN’T say “the ability to kill a dear being necessary….,” it says “A well regulated militia being necessary to the SECURITY OF A FREE STATE…” Please, for the love of God, stop asking questions that deflect the text of the amendment. Nobody needs an AR-15 and a 30-round magazine to hunt a deer. You may, Senator, actually be correct for once on that statement. I wouldn’t know: I don’t hunt.
BUT, and this is the important part, WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT HUNTING!
We are talking about people having the same rights that helped them establish the government in which you still (claim) to “serve” the people. You don’t need thousands and thousands of lobbyist dollars to represent your constituents, so lets do away with lobbyists and career politicians.
If a musket was good enough for the founding fathers, then surely a low-paying position in the federal government and having to maintain a second career in order to make a living should be good enough for you, right?
Idiots. Every single one of them.
