**FLASH** Salt Lake Comic Con FanX 2016 Guest Announcement

FLASH UPDATE for a big guest announcement

from Dan Farr and Bryan Brandenburg

over at Salt Lake Comic Con.

FanX 2016

The newest guest to be announced is none other than FBI Agent Dana Scully herself,

Gillian Anderson!

Salt Lake Comic Con organizers announced today that award-winning American-English actress, activist and writer, Gillian Anderson, will attend Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience 2016. Anderson is best known for the role of FBI Special Agent Dana Scully in the long-running and widely popular series The X-Files. She has recently starred in the critically acclaimed BBC crime drama television series The Fall, in NBC’s hit Hannibal, and shows like Great Expectations, Bleak House and The House of Mirth. Anderson is an honorary spokesperson for the Neurofibromatosis Network, the co-founder of South African Youth Education for Sustainability (SA-YES), and a co-author of the ongoing EarthEnd Saga book series. X-Files will be rebooted on Fox in January 2016.

This is a GREAT addition! I know who just wound up on my autograph/photo-op wish-list. I know that I’m not alone in waiting for the X-Files reboot. Another outstanding job by Bryan and his team!

Adding Gillian to the initial guest line-up of Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Summer Glau (Firefly, Arrow), Dean Cain (Lois and Clark), John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings), Peter Davison (Doctor Who), and Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds), along with recent additions, including a second Doctor in Sylvester McCoy, a pair of Arrow guests in Paul Blackthorne and Charlotte Ross (bringing Arrow up to 3), and the most recent addition, returning Salt Lake Alumni Chandler Riggs, joining Norman Reedus in the Walking Dead contingent, is really starting to turn this into what Bryan and Dan have said is going to be the most #EPIC event yet.

And, if you want to know a secret, I think the Doctor Who guest list is only going to get longer. Why, you ask?

Well, Matt Smith and (Salt Lake alumni) Karen Gillan are going to be at the WizardCon in Las Vegas the weekend prior to FanX, so it isn’t really that big a leap for them to make the quick jaunt up to Salt Lake. This is both logistically sound and fits perfectly in with the continued hints from Bryan Brandenburg to wonder about who is going to be coming to FanX 2016.

Keep up the good work, fellas! You’re really setting the bar high!
