Phoenix Comicon 2016 – Guest Announcement, 15 Feb

Another nice guest announcement (who also happens to be a Salt Lake Comic Con alum) from the folks down at the upcoming Phoenix Comicon:

Not 100% sure I’ll make this event,  but is really close to home,  so we’ll see how it all shakes out.

Phoenix Comicon is the Right Place for a “Companion”!

A Rose by any other name wouldn’t smell as sweet, so why settle?

Phoenix – Phoenix Comicon recently announced the addition of Alex Kingston, River Song from hit science fiction show Doctor Who, and they aren’t stopping there! Joining them for their 2016 convention is Billie Piper!

Billie Piper is recognized by “Whovians” as Rose Tyler, “Companion” to Doctor Who’s 9th and 10th Doctors (as well as her cameos in later episodes and Doctor Who specials). Additionally, Billie is well known for her work on the television shows “Secret Diary of a Call Girl” and “Penny Dreadful”!

“Doctor Who is an incredibly popular show with convention-goers and has some of the most passionate fans around. It is important for us to give our attendees the guests that they would like to see the most”, says Phoenix Comicon Guest Relations Director, Brandy Kuschel. With both River Song and Rose Tyler at the same convention, it’s plain to see that she’s not kidding!

Upcoming comic and author guests:

  • Comic illustrator “Captain America Lives”, Mike Zeck
  • Comic artist and creator of “Shiver”, Stuart Sayger
  • Author of “Riverwatch”, Joseph Nassise
  • Comic book artist for “Marvel Comics’ The Micronauts”, Michael Golden
  • Graphic artist creator of comic book series “The Crow”, James O’Barr
  • Author of “The God Wave”, Patrick Hemstreet
  • Comic book artist on “Wolverine”, June Chung
  • Comic book illustrator on “The Punisher”, Mitch Gerads

Already the signature pop-culture event of the Southwest, Phoenix Comicon 2016 is shaping up to be the best one yet!

A Full Event badge is good for all four days of the event, June 2-5, 2016. Pricing for the Full Event badge goes up the closer we get to the event. Quantities of Full Event badges are limited.

Full event passes are on sale for $60 until April 30th, with Sidekick badges (kids 3-12 years of age) available for only $5 through the event!
